The Orofino Police Department has received word of a telephone scam. Citizens are receiving phone calls alerting them it is from their power company and that the customer is behind on their payments. They are then told if they do not give a credit/debit card number, their power will be shut off immediately. Customers beware. Do not give out your card number to such a request.
